To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Culinary Arts program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Johnson & Wales University - Charlotte to be the most popular school for culinary arts students who want to pursue a associate degree in the Southeast Region . JWU Charlotte is a small private not-for-profit school located in the city of Charlotte.

About 76% of the students majoring in culinary arts at the school are women while 24% are male.

After completing their Associate Degree, culinary arts graduates from JWU Charlotte carry an average student debt load of $16,236. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $348.

Out of the 120 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, ECPI University landed the # 2 spot on the list. ECPI University is a fairly large private for-profit school located in the city of Virginia Beach.

Of the 111 students majoring in culinary arts at ECPI University, 42% are male and 58% are female.

Culinary Arts majors at ECPI University take out an average of $16,992 in student loans while working on their Associate Degree. For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $151.
