This report analyzed 64 schools in the New England Region to see which ones offered the best bachelor's degree programs for trade school students.

Our 2023 rankings named Charter Oak State College the best school in the New England Region for trade school students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in New Britain, Connecticut, the small public school handed out 443 bachelor’s degree awards in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $8,254 in tuition and fees if they attend Charter Oak State College full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $10,796. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $22,125 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Interested in an online degree? Then you definitely want to check out Charter Oak State College. Every undergraduate student at the school took at least one class online.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend New England Institute of Technology. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Best Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in the New England Region list. Located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 220 diplomas to qualifed bachelor’s degree students in 2021-2022.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $33,900 to cover tuition and fees at New England Tech. The school does not offer an in-state discount. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $32,305 in loans while pursuing their degree.
Online courses are available at New England Tech, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 38% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Granite State College. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Best Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in the New England Region list. Located in Concord, New Hampshire, the small public school awarded 353 diplomas to qualifed bachelor’s degree students in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $7,806 in tuition and fees if they attend GSC full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $9,150. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from GSC accumulate an average of $19,391 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
Some students may be able to take online classes at GSC. In 2020-2021 about 100% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Boston University. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Best Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in the New England Region list. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, the large private not-for-profit school handed out 4,998 bachelor’s degree awards in 2021-2022.

Colby - Sawyer does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $47,164. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $24,399 in student loans.

With a ranking of #13, University of Maine at Augusta did quite well on this year’s best schools for trade school students working on their bachelor’s degree. University of Maine at Augusta is a small public school located in Augusta, Maine that handed out 429 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at UMA is $8,378. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $19,778. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from UMA accumulate an average of $25,806 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.

With a ranking of #14, Wentworth Institute of Technology did quite well on this year’s best schools for trade school students working on their bachelor’s degree. WIT is a private not-for-profit institution located in Boston, Massachusetts. The school has a small population, and it awarded 848 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
WIT does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $38,760. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. Cambridge College ranked #18 on this year’s Best Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in the New England Region list. This small private not-for-profit school is located in Boston, Massachusetts, and it awarded 233 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.

University of Maine landed the #20 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best bachelor’s degree trade school programs. UMaine is located in Orono, Maine and has a fairly large student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 2,047 bachelor’s degrees to qualified students.
