Our 2023 rankings named New York City College of Technology the most popular school in the Middle Atlantic Region for trade school students working on their degree. City Tech is a fairly large public school situated in Brooklyn, New York. It awarded 2,673 degrees in 2021-2022.
Degree recipients from City Tech accumulate an average of $13,135 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Once they receive their degree, City Tech graduates enter the workforce, making an average salary of $43,192 during the early year of their career. Around 47% of those degree recipients were women.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Community College of Allegheny County. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the fairly large public school awarded 2,859 diplomas to qualifed students in 2021-2022.
By the time they get their degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $13,980 in student loans. Once they receive their degree, CCAC graduates enter the workforce, making an average salary of $35,077 during the early year of their career. Of those students who received their degree, 57% were women.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Apex Technical School is a great place for trade school students. Long Island City, New York is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out degrees to 915 students in 2021-2022.

The programs at Hunter Business School helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular trade school schools in the Middle Atlantic Region . With a ranking of #7, Culinary Institute of America did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for trade school students working. Located in Hyde Park, New York, the small private not-for-profit school handed out 951 degrees in 2021-2022.

West Mifflin, Pennsylvania is the setting for this very small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out degrees to 460 students in 2021-2022.

With a ranking of #22, Harrisburg Area Community College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for trade school students working. HACC is a public institution located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 2,107 degrees in 2021-2022.
