To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named New York City College of Technology the most popular school in the Middle Atlantic Region for trade school students working on their degree. New York City College of Technology is a fairly large public school located in Brooklyn, New York that handed out 2,673 degrees in 2021-2022.
Degree recipients from City Tech accumulate an average of $13,135 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Once they receive their degree, City Tech graduates enter the workforce, making an average salary of $43,192 during the early year of their career. Around 47% of those degree recipients were women.
The programs at Community College of Allegheny County helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular trade school schools in the Middle Atlantic Region . Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out degrees to 2,859 students in 2021-2022.
Degree recipients from CCAC accumulate an average of $13,980 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. During the early years of their career, CCAC graduates make an average of $35,077 annually. Around 57% of those degree recipients were women.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Apex Technical School. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. This small private for-profit school is located in Long Island City, New York, and it awarded 915 degrees in 2021-2022.

Access Careers ranked #15 on this year’s Most Popular Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. Hempstead, New York is the setting for this very small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out degrees to 467 students in 2021-2022.
Degree recipients from Access Careers accumulate an average of $6,211 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Once they receive their degree, Access Careers graduates enter the workforce, making an average salary of $26,853 during the early year of their career. Around 90% of those degree recipients were women.
All-State Career School - Lester did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students. It came in at #16 on the list. Farmingdale State College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students. It came in at #18 on the list. Farmingdale, New York is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out degrees to 2,094 students in 2021-2022.
Degree recipients from SUNY College of Technology at Farmingdale accumulate an average of $16,210 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Those who take out this much in loans have to make a monthly payment of about $107 if they are on a 10-year repayment plan. Once they receive their degree, SUNY College of Technology at Farmingdale graduates enter the workforce, making an average salary of $46,547 during the early year of their career. Of those students who received their degree, 44% were women.
Dawn Career Institute LLC did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students. It came in at #19 on the list. Dawn Career Institute is located in Newark, Delaware and has a very small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 354 degrees to qualified students.
On average, students take out $7,290 in loans while pursuing their degree. If you borrow this amount, expect your monthly student loan payment to be around $63, assuming you are on a 10-year repayment plan.After graduating from Dawn Career Institute, students go on to jobs where they make an average of $22,894 during the early years of their career. Around 71% of those degree recipients were women.
Pennco Tech-Blackwood landed the #20 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular trade school programs. Blackwood, New Jersey is the setting for this very small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out degrees to 553 students in 2021-2022.
By the time they get their degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $9,742 in student loans. For those students on a 10-year repayment plan, the average payment due each month is around $113. During the early years of their career, Pennco Tech-Blackwood graduates make an average of $27,375 annually. Of those students who received their degree, 19% were women.
Delaware Technical Community College - Terry landed the #21 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular trade school programs. Located in Dover, Delaware, the fairly large public school handed out 1,999 degrees in 2021-2022.
Degree recipients from Delaware Tech accumulate an average of $10,697 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Once they receive their degree, Delaware Tech graduates enter the workforce, making an average salary of $35,255 during the early year of their career. With a ranking of #22, Harrisburg Area Community College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for trade school students working. This fairly large public school is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and it awarded 2,107 degrees in 2021-2022.
