This report analyzed 232 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region to see which ones were the most popular associate degree programs for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Culinary Institute of America the most popular school in the Middle Atlantic Region for trade school students working on their associate degree. The Culinary Institute of America is a private not-for-profit institution located in Hyde Park, New York. The school has a small population, and it awarded 564 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
The Culinary Institute of America does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $36,620. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $12,958 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 47% were women.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. Penn College is a public institution located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The school has a small population, and it awarded 711 associate degrees in 2021-2022.

Community College of Allegheny County did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get an associate degree. It came in at #8 on the list. Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the fairly large public school handed out 2,027 associate degree awards in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $8,563 in tuition and fees if they attend CCAC full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $12,223. Associate Degree recipients from CCAC accumulate an average of $14,588 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 64% of those degree recipients were women.

Delaware Technical Community College - Terry came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. This fairly large public school is located in Dover, Delaware, and it awarded 1,741 associate degrees in 2021-2022.

Full-time students from New York pay an average of $5,950 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Erie Community College. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $11,150. On average, associate degree students take out $10,690 in loans while pursuing their degree.
