This report analyzed 28 schools in Texas to see which ones were the most popular associate degree programs for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Culinary Arts program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts - Austin the most popular school in Texas for culinary arts students working on their associate degree. Located in the city of Austin, Escoffier - Austin is a private for-profit school with a small student population.

Women make up 56% of the culinary arts majors at the school.

Culinary Arts majors at Escoffier - Austin take out an average of $16,342 in student loans while working on their Associate Degree. This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $144, based on a 10-year repayment plan.

Culinary Institute Inc

Houston, TX

Out of the 28 schools in Texas that were part of this year’s ranking, Culinary Institute Inc landed the # 2 spot on the list. Culinary Institute LeNotre is a small private for-profit school located in the large city of Houston.

Women make up 51% of the culinary arts majors at the school.

On average, culinary arts graduates from Culinary Institute LeNotre take out $24,379 in student loans while working on their Associate Degree. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $227, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

The in-demand associate degree programs at Houston Community College helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular culinary arts schools in Texas. Houston Community College is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Houston.

Of the 53 students majoring in culinary arts at Houston Community College, 11% are male and 89% are female.

Culinary Arts majors at Houston Community College take out an average of $19,775 in student loans while working on their Associate Degree.

Out of the 28 schools in Texas that were part of this year’s ranking, St Philip’s College landed the # 4 spot on the list. Located in the city of San Antonio, St Philip's College is a public school with a large student population.
