To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Engineering Technology program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for engineering tech majors pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Our analysis found Northern Illinois University to be the most popular school for general engineering technology students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the Great Lakes Region . NIU is a large public school located in the small suburb of Dekalb.

Of the 58 students majoring in engineering tech at NIU, 93% are male and 7% are female.

Engineering Tech majors at NIU take out an average of $25,960 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $242.
