Our 2023 rankings named Wyotech-Laramie the most popular school in Wyoming for trade school students working on their undergraduate certificate. Located in Laramie, Wyoming, the very small private for-profit school handed out 569 undergraduate certificate awards in 2021-2022.
Undergraduate Certificate recipients from Wyotech-Laramie accumulate an average of $8,543 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 5% were women.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Northern Wyoming Community College District is a great place for trade school students working on their undergraduate certificate. Northern Wyoming Community College District is a small public school located in Sheridan, Wyoming that handed out 166 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
Students from Wyoming who attend Northern Wyoming Community College District full time pay an average of $4,830 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $11,130. By the time they get their undergraduate certificate, students from this school have racked up an average of $9,937 in student loans. Around 40% of those degree recipients were women.

Out of the 10 schools in Wyoming that were part of this year’s ranking, Laramie County Community College landed the # 4 spot on the list. LCCC is located in Cheyenne, Wyoming and has a small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 99 undergraduate certificates to qualified students.
In-state students pay an average of $4,613 in tuition and fees if they attend LCCC full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $10,913. Cheeks Beauty Academy-Cheyenne did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get an undergraduate certificate. It came in at #6 on the list. Located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the very small private for-profit school awarded 26 diplomas to qualifed undergraduate certificate students in 2021-2022.
By the time they get their undergraduate certificate, students from this school have racked up an average of $7,363 in student loans. Around 92% of those degree recipients were women.
Central Wyoming College landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular undergraduate certificate trade school programs. This small public school is located in Riverton, Wyoming, and it awarded 30 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at CWC is $4,680. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $10,980. Around 83% of those degree recipients were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since CWC does offer online classes for certain majors. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 47% took at least some of their classes online.
Eastern Wyoming College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get an undergraduate certificate. It came in at #8 on the list. Torrington, Wyoming is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out undergraduate certificates to 37 students in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Wyoming pay an average of $4,290 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Eastern Wyoming College. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $10,590. Undergraduate Certificate recipients from Eastern Wyoming College accumulate an average of $7,679 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 43% of those degree recipients were women.
Eastern Wyoming College does offer online classes for certain degree levels. During the 2020-2021 year, about 27% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Northwest College landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular undergraduate certificate trade school programs. Northwest Community College is a public institution located in Powell, Wyoming. The school has a small population, and it awarded 33 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
Students from Wyoming who attend Northwest Community College full time pay an average of $4,862 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $11,162. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $17,473 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 82% were women.
One thing to take note of is that Northwest Community College does offer online classes in some areas. During the 2020-2021 year, about 61% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
University of Wyoming ranked #10 on this year’s Most Popular Undergraduate Certificate Trade Schools in Wyoming list. University of Wyoming is a fairly large public school located in Laramie, Wyoming that handed out 10 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Wyoming pay an average of $5,625 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend UW. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $17,745.
UW does offer online classes for certain degree levels. During the 2020-2021 year, about 74% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
