Our analysis looked at 75 schools in Pennsylvania to see which bachelor's degree programs were the most popular for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our analysis found Pennsylvania College of Technology to be the most popular school for trade school students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Pennsylvania. Located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the small public school awarded 557 diplomas to qualifed bachelor’s degree students in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Penn College is $17,940. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $25,680. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $29,038 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 36% of those degree recipients were women.
Online courses are available at Penn College, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 47% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
The excellent bachelor’s degree programs at Temple University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular trade school schools in Pennsylvania. This large public school is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and it awarded 5,943 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $21,097 in tuition and fees if they attend Temple full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $35,603. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $23,255 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 56% were women.
One thing to take note of is that Temple does offer online classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 81% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Thomas Jefferson University is a great place for trade school students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the medium-sized private not-for-profit school handed out 1,113 bachelor’s degree awards in 2021-2022.
The average tuition and fees at Thomas Jefferson University is $44,200. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $24,261 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 78% were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Thomas Jefferson University does offer online classes for certain majors. In fact, around 68% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
Out of the 75 schools in Pennsylvania that were part of this year’s ranking, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania landed the # 4 spot on the list. SRU is a medium-sized public school situated in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. It awarded 1,618 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at SRU is $10,507. Out-of-state students pay an average of $14,615. Misericordia University is a private not-for-profit institution located in Dallas, Pennsylvania. The school has a small population, and it awarded 453 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.

Drexel University came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in Pennsylvania ranking. Drexel is a private not-for-profit institution located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The school has a large population, and it awarded 3,797 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
If you want to attend Drexel, expect to pay an average of $58,965 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. Duquesne University landed the #13 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular bachelor’s degree trade school programs. This medium-sized private not-for-profit school is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and it awarded 1,554 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Duquesne accumulate an average of $23,299 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 64% were women.

Peirce College came in at #23 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in Pennsylvania ranking.
