To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our analysis found NHTI-Concord’s Community College to be the most popular school for trade school students who want to pursue a associate degree in New Hampshire. This small public school is located in Concord, New Hampshire, and it awarded 519 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at NHTI is $7,200. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $15,450. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $16,658 in student loans. Around 66% of those degree recipients were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at NHTI. In fact, around 54% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Southern New Hampshire University is a great place for trade school students working on their associate degree. Located in Manchester, New Hampshire, the large private not-for-profit school handed out 3,321 associate degree awards in 2021-2022.
SNHU does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $15,380. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $17,725 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 60% were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since SNHU does offer online classes for certain majors. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 96% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
The excellent associate degree programs at Manchester Community College helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular trade school schools in New Hampshire. This small public school is located in Manchester, New Hampshire, and it awarded 333 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at MCC is $7,090. Out-of-state students pay an average of $15,340. Associate Degree recipients from MCC accumulate an average of $14,985 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 52% were women.
Some students may be able to take online classes at MCC. In 2020-2021 about 60% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
The excellent associate degree programs at River Valley Community College helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular trade school schools in New Hampshire. NH Community Technical College - Claremont is a public institution located in Claremont, New Hampshire. The school has a very small population, and it awarded 121 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $6,940 in tuition and fees if they attend NH Community Technical College - Claremont full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $15,190. On average, associate degree students take out $19,539 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 78% were women.

Lakes Region Community College landed the #6 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree trade school programs. Located in Laconia, New Hampshire, the very small public school handed out 115 associate degree awards in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $6,720 in tuition and fees if they attend Lakes Region Community College full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $14,970. Around 44% of those degree recipients were women.
Online courses are available at Lakes Region Community College, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 39% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
White Mountains Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get an associate degree. It came in at #7 on the list. White Mountains Community College is a public institution located in Berlin, New Hampshire. The school has a very small population, and it awarded 91 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at White Mountains Community College is $7,050. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $15,300. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $22,479 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 73% were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at White Mountains Community College. During the 2020-2021 year, about 55% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Great Bay Community College came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in New Hampshire ranking. Located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the small public school awarded 245 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Great Bay Community College is $7,200. Out-of-state students pay an average of $15,450. Associate Degree recipients from Great Bay Community College accumulate an average of $16,290 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 62% were women.
One thing to take note of is that Great Bay Community College does offer online classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 86% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
University of New Hampshire - Main Campus did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get an associate degree. It came in at #9 on the list. Located in Durham, New Hampshire, the fairly large public school awarded 21 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from New Hampshire pay an average of $19,024 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend UNH. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $37,934. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $12,411 in student loans. Around 86% of those degree recipients were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since UNH does offer online classes for certain majors. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 28% took at least some of their classes online.

New England College landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree trade school programs. New England College is a small private not-for-profit school located in Henniker, New Hampshire that handed out 26 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
The average tuition and fees at NEC is $27,054. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. If you want to attend St Joseph School of Nursing, expect to pay an average of $22,764 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, associate degree students take out $15,093 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 81% were women.
