Our 2023 rankings named NHTI-Concord’s Community College the most popular school in New Hampshire for trade school students working on their associate degree. NHTI is a public institution located in Concord, New Hampshire. The school has a small population, and it awarded 519 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
Students from New Hampshire who attend NHTI full time pay an average of $7,200 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $15,450. Associate Degree recipients from NHTI accumulate an average of $16,658 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 66% of those degree recipients were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at NHTI. In 2020-2021 about 54% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Southern New Hampshire University. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in New Hampshire list. Manchester, New Hampshire is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out associate degrees to 3,321 students in 2021-2022.
If you want to attend SNHU, expect to pay an average of $15,380 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. The excellent associate degree programs at Manchester Community College helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular trade school schools in New Hampshire. MCC is located in Manchester, New Hampshire and has a small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 333 associate degrees to qualified students.

Great Bay Community College landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree trade school programs. Portsmouth, New Hampshire is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associate degrees to 245 students in 2021-2022.

University of New Hampshire - Main Campus did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get an associate degree. It came in at #9 on the list. UNH is located in Durham, New Hampshire and has a fairly large student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 21 associate degrees to qualified students.
Students from New Hampshire who attend UNH full time pay an average of $19,024 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $37,934. Associate Degree recipients from UNH accumulate an average of $12,411 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 86% of those degree recipients were women.
One thing to take note of is that UNH does offer online classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 28% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
With a ranking of #9, New England College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for trade school students working on their associate degree. Located in Henniker, New Hampshire, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 26 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2021-2022.
If you want to attend NEC, expect to pay an average of $27,054 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. Associate Degree recipients from NEC accumulate an average of $18,645 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 58% of those degree recipients were women.
Online courses are available at NEC, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 56% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
St Joseph School of Nursing came in at #11 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in New Hampshire ranking. St Joseph School of Nursing is a very small private not-for-profit school located in Nashua, New Hampshire that handed out 57 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
The average tuition and fees at St Joseph School of Nursing is $22,764. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $15,093 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 81% were women.
