This report analyzed 15 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region to see which ones had the most popular online basic certificate programs for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

You’ll be in good company if you attend Thomas Jefferson University. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Online Basic Certificate Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. Thomas Jefferson University is a private not-for-profit institution located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 19 basic certificates in 2021-2022.
The average tuition and fees at Thomas Jefferson University is $44,200. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. Of those students who received their degree, 63% were women.

Camden County College is a medium-sized public school located in Blackwood, New Jersey that handed out 170 basic certificates in 2021-2022.
The average tuition and fees at Camden County College is $3,744. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. Around 30% of those degree recipients were women.

Students from New York who attend SUNY Empire full time pay an average of $7,630 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $17,540. Of those students who received their degree, 74% were women.

Anne Arundel Community College landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular basic certificate trade school programs. Anne Arundel Community College is a fairly large public school located in Arnold, Maryland that handed out 690 basic certificates in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at AACC is $9,230. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $13,760. Around 52% of those degree recipients were women.

Delaware County Community College came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Online Basic Certificate Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. Delaware County Community College is a medium-sized public school located in Media, Pennsylvania that handed out 108 basic certificates in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Pennsylvania pay an average of $10,410 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Delaware County Community College. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $14,400. Around 56% of those degree recipients were women.

Genesee Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #9 on the list. Genesee Community College is a small public school located in Batavia, New York that handed out 3 basic certificates in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from New York pay an average of $5,440 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend GCC. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $6,040. Of those students who received their degree, 67% were women.
Around 44% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
Rochester Institute of Technology did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get a basic certificate. It came in at #9 on the list. Located in Rochester, New York, the fairly large private not-for-profit school awarded 9 diplomas to qualifed basic certificate students in 2021-2022.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $53,538 to cover tuition and fees at RIT. The school does not offer an in-state discount. Around 100% of those degree recipients were women.
Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 66% took at least some of their classes online.
Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Online Basic Certificate Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. PA College is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It awarded 14 basic certificates in 2021-2022.
PA College does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $30,821. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. Of those students who received their degree, 79% were women.
