Our 2023 rankings named Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science Inc the most popular school in Pennsylvania for trade school students working on their associate degree. Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science Inc is a very small private not-for-profit school located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that handed out 81 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $17,391 in student loans. Around 67% of those degree recipients were women.
Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 56% took at least some of their classes online.
Out of the 14 schools in Pennsylvania that were part of this year’s ranking, Montgomery County Community College landed the # 2 spot on the list. Montgomery County Community College is a medium-sized public school located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania that handed out 1,253 associate degrees in 2021-2022.

Peirce College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get an associate degree. It came in at #6 on the list. Peirce College is a very small private not-for-profit school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that handed out 58 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
The average tuition and fees at Peirce is $15,060. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. Peirce is primarily an online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
Reading Area Community College ranked #7 on this year’s Most Popular Online Associate Degree Trade Schools in Pennsylvania list. RACC is a public institution located in Reading, Pennsylvania. The school has a small population, and it awarded 464 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $10,470 in tuition and fees if they attend RACC full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $11,580. Associate Degree recipients from RACC accumulate an average of $16,472 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 68% of those degree recipients were women.

YTI Career Institute-York ranked #8 on this year’s Most Popular Online Associate Degree Trade Schools in Pennsylvania list. YTI is located in York, Pennsylvania and has a very small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 132 associate degrees to qualified students.
Associate Degree recipients from YTI accumulate an average of $16,892 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 65% of those degree recipients were women.

Harcum College came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Online Associate Degree Trade Schools in Pennsylvania ranking. Harcum College is a very small private not-for-profit school situated in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. It awarded 363 associate degrees in 2021-2022.

If you want to attend Pittsburgh Technical College, expect to pay an average of $16,974 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, associate degree students take out $18,250 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 38% were women.
Around 32% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
Johnson College landed the #11 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree trade school programs. Located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the very small private not-for-profit school awarded 161 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2021-2022.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $20,025 to cover tuition and fees at Johnson College. The school does not offer an in-state discount. Elizabethtown College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get an associate degree. It came in at #12 on the list. Etown is located in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania and has a small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 9 associate degrees to qualified students.
If you want to attend Etown, expect to pay an average of $35,700 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, associate degree students take out $18,702 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 67% of those degree recipients were women.
Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 26% took at least some of their classes online.
Pennsylvania Highlands Community College came in at #13 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Online Associate Degree Trade Schools in Pennsylvania ranking. Pennsylvania Highlands is a public institution located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The school has a small population, and it awarded 255 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
