Our 2023 rankings named Indiana University of Pennsylvania - Main Campus the best school in the Middle Atlantic Region for trade school students working on their undergraduate certificate. Indiana University of Pennsylvania - Main Campus is a medium-sized public school located in Indiana, Pennsylvania that handed out 167 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Pennsylvania pay an average of $11,320 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend IUP. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $18,927.

With a ranking of #11, Union County College did quite well on this year’s best schools for trade school students working on their undergraduate certificate. Located in Cranford, New Jersey, the medium-sized public school awarded 63 diplomas to qualifed undergraduate certificate students in 2021-2022.

Hagerstown Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for trade school students to get an undergraduate certificate. It came in at #15 on the list. Located in Hagerstown, Maryland, the small public school awarded 44 diplomas to qualifed undergraduate certificate students in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $6,390 in tuition and fees if they attend HCC full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $8,190. Undergraduate Certificate recipients from HCC accumulate an average of $10,730 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at HCC. During the 2020-2021 year, about 81% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Nassau Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for trade school students to get an undergraduate certificate. It came in at #16 on the list. Nassau Community College is located in Garden City, New York and has a fairly large student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 87 undergraduate certificates to qualified students.
Students from New York who attend Nassau Community College full time pay an average of $6,330 in tuition and fees. Out-of-state students pay an average of $12,130.

In-state students pay an average of $6,704 in tuition and fees if they attend SUNY Broome full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $11,984.

With a ranking of #19, Butler County Community College did quite well on this year’s best schools for trade school students working on their undergraduate certificate. This small public school is located in Butler, Pennsylvania, and it awarded 26 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Pennsylvania pay an average of $8,550 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend BC3. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $11,550. Undergraduate Certificate recipients from BC3 accumulate an average of $7,957 in student debt by the time they complete their degree.
BC3 does offer online classes for certain degree levels. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 33% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
Laurel Business Institute came in at #20 in this year’s edition of the Best Undergraduate Certificate Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. Located in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, the very small private for-profit school handed out 64 undergraduate certificate awards in 2021-2022.
LBI does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $11,470. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $10,973 in loans while pursuing their degree.
LBI does offer online classes for certain degree levels. In fact, around 47% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
Allegany College of Maryland came in at #21 in this year’s edition of the Best Undergraduate Certificate Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. Allegany College of Maryland is located in Cumberland, Maryland and has a small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 81 undergraduate certificates to qualified students.

If you want to attend South Hills School of Business & Technology, expect to pay an average of $19,527 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid.
Bryant & Stratton College - Online ranked #25 on this year’s Best Undergraduate Certificate Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. Bryant & Stratton College - Online is a private not-for-profit institution located in Orchard Park, New York. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 761 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $15,295 to cover tuition and fees at Bryant & Stratton College - Online. The school does not offer an in-state discount.
