This report analyzed 100 schools in Michigan to see which ones were the most popular undergraduate certificate programs for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named MIAT College of Technology the most popular school in Michigan for trade school students working on their undergraduate certificate. MIAT College of Technology is a small private for-profit school located in Canton, Michigan that handed out 633 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
Undergraduate Certificate recipients from MIAT College of Technology accumulate an average of $13,259 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 7% of those degree recipients were women.
Online courses are available at MIAT College of Technology, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 12% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Lansing Community College is a great place for trade school students working on their undergraduate certificate. LCC is located in Lansing, Michigan and has a medium-sized student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 450 undergraduate certificates to qualified students.

East Lansing, Michigan is the setting for this very small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out undergraduate certificates to 317 students in 2021-2022.

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means Dorsey College, Woodhaven is a great place for trade school students working on their undergraduate certificate. Dorsey College, Woodhaven is a very small private for-profit school situated in Madison Heights, Michigan. It awarded 271 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.

Kellogg Community College is a small public school situated in Battle Creek, Michigan. It awarded 199 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Kellogg Community College is $7,013. Out-of-state students pay an average of $9,038.
