To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Trade College Search has created its Most Popular Bachelor's Degree Trade Schools in Utah ranking. This report analyzed 10 schools in Utah to see which ones were the most popular bachelor's degree programs for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Western Governors University the most popular school in Utah for trade school students working on their bachelor’s degree. This large private not-for-profit school is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and it awarded 24,230 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
If you want to attend WGU, expect to pay an average of $8,010 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from WGU accumulate an average of $16,244 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 68% were women.
WGU is primarily an online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
Out of the 10 schools in Utah that were part of this year’s ranking, Weber State University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Weber State University is a large public school located in Ogden, Utah that handed out 2,639 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $6,391 in tuition and fees if they attend WSU full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $17,084. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $21,225 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 60% were women.
Some students may be able to take online classes at WSU. During the 2020-2021 year, about 47% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Utah Valley University. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in Utah list. Utah Valley University is a large public school located in Orem, Utah that handed out 4,072 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $6,270 in tuition and fees if they attend UVU full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $17,830. Out of the 10 schools in Utah that were part of this year’s ranking, Utah State University landed the # 4 spot on the list. USU is a public institution located in Logan, Utah. The school has a large population, and it awarded 4,178 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Utah pay an average of $8,305 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend USU. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $24,223. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from USU accumulate an average of $17,126 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 58% of those degree recipients were women.

The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Southern Utah University is $6,770. Out-of-state students pay an average of $20,586. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $14,571 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 59% were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at Southern Utah University. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 51% took at least some of their classes online.
Brigham Young University - Provo ranked #7 on this year’s Most Popular Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in Utah list. BYU is located in Provo, Utah and has a large student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 6,562 bachelor’s degrees to qualified students.
Bachelor’s Degree recipients from BYU accumulate an average of $14,480 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 52% of those degree recipients were women.

Dixie State University came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in Utah ranking. Dixie State College is a fairly large public school situated in Saint George, Utah. It awarded 1,229 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $6,074 in tuition and fees if they attend Dixie State College full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $17,642. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $20,130 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 59% were women.

University of Utah landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular bachelor’s degree trade school programs. U of U is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and has a large student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 5,498 bachelor’s degrees to qualified students.
Full-time students from Utah pay an average of $9,315 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend U of U. Out-of-state students pay an average of $29,837. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $20,009 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 51% were women.
U of U does offer online classes for certain degree levels. During the 2020-2021 year, about 75% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Westminster College Utah came in at #10 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in Utah ranking. Salt Lake City, Utah is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out bachelor’s degrees to 437 students in 2021-2022.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $39,832 to cover tuition and fees at Westminster College Salt Lake. The school does not offer an in-state discount. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $21,518 in student loans. Around 63% of those degree recipients were women.
