To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Trade College Search has created its Most Popular Bachelor's Degree Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. Our analysis looked at 211 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region to see which bachelor's degree programs were the most popular for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Stony Brook University the most popular school in the Middle Atlantic Region for trade school students working on their bachelor’s degree. SUNY Stony Brook is a large public school situated in Stony Brook, New York. It awarded 5,259 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from New York pay an average of $10,560 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend SUNY Stony Brook. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $28,480. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from SUNY Stony Brook accumulate an average of $18,520 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 54% of those degree recipients were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at SUNY Stony Brook. During the 2020-2021 year, about 75% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means New York City College of Technology is a great place for trade school students working on their bachelor’s degree. New York City College of Technology is a fairly large public school located in Brooklyn, New York that handed out 1,416 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at City Tech is $7,320. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $15,270. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $14,517 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 43% were women.
City Tech does have options available for those who want to take online classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 96% took at least some of their classes online.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Farmingdale State College. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. This medium-sized public school is located in Farmingdale, New York, and it awarded 1,781 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $8,576 in tuition and fees if they attend SUNY College of Technology at Farmingdale full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $18,486. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from SUNY College of Technology at Farmingdale accumulate an average of $16,895 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 42% of those degree recipients were women.

In-state students pay an average of $15,188 in tuition and fees if they attend Stockton State full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $22,922. On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $21,779 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 62% of those degree recipients were women.

Pennsylvania College of Technology did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. Williamsport, Pennsylvania is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelor’s degrees to 557 students in 2021-2022.

Excelsior University landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular bachelor’s degree trade school programs. Excelsior University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Albany, New York. It awarded 2,668 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Bachelor’s Degree recipients from Excelsior University accumulate an average of $18,112 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 45% were women.
Excelsior University is primarily an online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
York College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #8 on the list. York is located in Jamaica, New York and has a medium-sized student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 1,269 bachelor’s degrees to qualified students.
Full-time students from New York pay an average of $7,358 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend York. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $15,308. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $12,381 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 71% were women.

University of Maryland Global Campus ranked #12 on this year’s Most Popular Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. This large public school is located in Adelphi, Maryland, and it awarded 7,982 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Maryland pay an average of $7,848 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend UMGC. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $12,336. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from UMGC accumulate an average of $22,533 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 47% were women.

Thomas Jefferson University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #13 on the list. Thomas Jefferson University is a private not-for-profit institution located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 1,113 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
If you want to attend Thomas Jefferson University, expect to pay an average of $44,200 in tuition and fees. Of course, this could be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $24,261 in student loans. Around 78% of those degree recipients were women.

Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania landed the #15 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular bachelor’s degree trade school programs. This medium-sized public school is located in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, and it awarded 1,618 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $10,507 in tuition and fees if they attend SRU full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $14,615. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $22,667 in student loans. Around 59% of those degree recipients were women.

New Jersey Institute of Technology ranked #16 on this year’s Most Popular Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. NJIT is located in Newark, New Jersey and has a fairly large student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 1,869 bachelor’s degrees to qualified students.

UPenn does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $63,452. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their bachelor’s degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $16,106 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 55% were women.
One thing to take note of is that UPenn does offer online classes in some areas. In 2020-2021 about 13% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
