To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

CNM is a public institution located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 3,426 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $1,858 in tuition and fees if they attend CNM full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $7,978. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $9,753 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 64% were women.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend San Juan College. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in New Mexico list. This medium-sized public school is located in Farmington, New Mexico, and it awarded 595 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
Students from New Mexico who attend SJC full time pay an average of $1,714 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $4,882. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $13,626 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 69% were women.

The excellent associate degree programs at New Mexico State University - Dona Ana helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular trade school schools in New Mexico. Located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the medium-sized public school awarded 908 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $2,238 in tuition and fees if they attend NMSU Dona Ana full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $5,880. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $13,537 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 64% were women.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Pima Medical Institute - Albuquerque. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in New Mexico list. Pima Medical Institute - Albuquerque is a very small private for-profit school located in Albuquerque, New Mexico that handed out 117 associate degrees in 2021-2022.

Northern New Mexico College ranked #12 on this year’s Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in New Mexico list. Located in Espanola, New Mexico, the small public school handed out 95 associate degree awards in 2021-2022.
Around 65% of those degree recipients were women.
Online courses are available at Northern New Mexico College, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 23% took at least some of their classes online.
With a ranking of #13, Luna Community College did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for trade school students working on their associate degree. This very small public school is located in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and it awarded 75 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $1,538 in tuition and fees if they attend Luna Community College full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $2,882. Of those students who received their degree, 72% were women.
Luna Community College does offer online classes for certain degree levels. In 2020-2021 about 55% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
New Mexico Junior College landed the #13 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree trade school programs. Hobbs, New Mexico is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associate degrees to 298 students in 2021-2022.
Students from New Mexico who attend New Mexico Junior College full time pay an average of $1,920 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $2,280. On average, associate degree students take out $9,801 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 62% were women.

Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute ranked #15 on this year’s Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in New Mexico list. SIPI is a public institution located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The school has a very small population, and it awarded 45 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
Of those students who received their degree, 67% were women.
Online courses are available at SIPI, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 99% took at least some of their classes online.

Navajo Technical University landed the #16 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree trade school programs. Navajo Tech is located in Crownpoint, New Mexico and has a small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 49 associate degrees to qualified students.

Mesalands Community College is a public institution located in Tucumcari, New Mexico. The school has a very small population, and it awarded 25 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
Students from New Mexico who attend Mesalands Community College full time pay an average of $2,136 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $3,408.
