Our analysis looked at 12 schools in Utah to see which associate degree programs were the most popular for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Weber State University the most popular school in Utah for trade school students working on their associate degree. Ogden, Utah is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associate degrees to 3,110 students in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $6,391 in tuition and fees if they attend WSU full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $17,084. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $18,082 in student loans. Around 62% of those degree recipients were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at WSU. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 47% of undergraduates took at least one course online in 2020-2021.
Out of the 12 schools in Utah that were part of this year’s ranking, Salt Lake Community College landed the # 2 spot on the list. Salt Lake Community College is a large public school situated in Salt Lake City, Utah. It awarded 3,261 associate degrees in 2021-2022.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Utah Valley University. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in Utah list. This large public school is located in Orem, Utah, and it awarded 4,917 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $6,270 in tuition and fees if they attend UVU full time. Out-of-state students pay an average of $17,830. On average, associate degree students take out $12,562 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 49% of those degree recipients were women.

In-state students pay an average of $6,770 in tuition and fees if they attend Southern Utah University full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $20,586. On average, associate degree students take out $10,004 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 57% were women.

AmeriTech College - Draper came in at #10 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in Utah ranking. AmeriTech College - Draper is a small private for-profit school situated in Draper, Utah. It awarded 531 associate degrees in 2021-2022.

LDS Business College came in at #11 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in Utah ranking. Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 430 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2021-2022.

Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at LDS Business College. During the 2020-2021 year, about 57% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Eagle Gate College - Murray did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get an associate degree. It came in at #12 on the list.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Eagle Gate College - Murray does offer online classes for certain majors. During the 2020-2021 year, about 94% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
