Our analysis looked at 9 schools in Nevada to see which associate degree programs were the most popular for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named College of Southern Nevada the most popular school in Nevada for trade school students working on their associate degree. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, the large public school handed out 3,788 associate degree awards in 2021-2022.
Students from Nevada who attend CSN full time pay an average of $3,968 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $11,869. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $11,510 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 63% were women.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since CSN does offer online classes for certain majors. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 63% took at least some of their classes online.
Out of the 9 schools in Nevada that were part of this year’s ranking, Pima Medical Institute - Las Vegas landed the # 2 spot on the list. This very small private for-profit school is located in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it awarded 153 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
Associate Degree recipients from PMI Las Vegas accumulate an average of $22,781 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 59% were women.
Online courses are available at PMI Las Vegas, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In 2020-2021 about 5% of the undergraduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Out of the 9 schools in Nevada that were part of this year’s ranking, Truckee Meadows Community College landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in Reno, Nevada, the medium-sized public school handed out 1,405 associate degree awards in 2021-2022.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at Truckee Meadows Community College is $3,162. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $10,639. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $13,535 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 66% were women.

The excellent associate degree programs at Great Basin College helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular trade school schools in Nevada. Located in Elko, Nevada, the small public school handed out 332 associate degree awards in 2021-2022.
Full-time students from Nevada pay an average of $3,772 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Great Basin College. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $11,147. Associate Degree recipients from Great Basin College accumulate an average of $18,415 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. A rank of #5 on this year’s list means Career College of Northern Nevada is a great place for trade school students working on their associate degree. Career College of Northern Nevada is a private for-profit institution located in Sparks, Nevada. The school has a very small population, and it awarded 101 associate degrees in 2021-2022.
By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $17,659 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 56% were women.
Carrington College, Las Vegas came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in Nevada ranking. Las Vegas, Nevada is the setting for this very small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out associate degrees to 81 students in 2021-2022.
On average, associate degree students take out $27,063 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 62% of those degree recipients were women.
Carrington College, Las Vegas does offer online classes for certain degree levels. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 29% took at least some of their classes online.
Western Nevada College came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in Nevada ranking. WNC is located in Carson City, Nevada and has a small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 553 associate degrees to qualified students.
The average in-state tuition and fees for students at WNC is $3,838. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $11,738. On average, associate degree students take out $15,907 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 65% of those degree recipients were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online classes at WNC. During the 2020-2021 year, about 53% of the undergraduates at the school took at least one online course.
Nevada Career Institute ranked #8 on this year’s Most Popular Associate Degree Trade Schools in Nevada list. Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, the very small private for-profit school awarded 10 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2021-2022.
Of those students who received their degree, 100% were women.
Since Nevada Career Institute is primarily an online school, it is an excellent choice for undergraduate students who need more flexibility than what is offered at some other schools.
DeVry University - Nevada landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular associate degree trade school programs. Located in Henderson, Nevada, the very small private for-profit school awarded 2 diplomas to qualifed associate degree students in 2021-2022.
DeVry University - Nevada does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $15,032. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $27,079 in student loans. Around 50% of those degree recipients were women.
If you are interested in distance education, DeVry University - Nevada is an excellent choice, since the school is online.
