This report analyzed 6 schools in Michigan to see which ones had the most popular online undergraduate certificate programs for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our 2023 rankings named Davenport University the most popular school in Michigan for trade school students working on their undergraduate certificate. This medium-sized private not-for-profit school is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and it awarded 20 undergraduate certificates in 2021-2022.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $22,242 to cover tuition and fees at Davenport University. The school does not offer an in-state discount. Undergraduate Certificate recipients from Davenport University accumulate an average of $22,060 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 75% were women.

Full-time students from Michigan pay an average of $7,209 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Gogebic Community College. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $8,108. Undergraduate Certificate recipients from Gogebic Community College accumulate an average of $11,307 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 82% were women.

The excellent undergraduate certificate programs at Grand Rapids Community College helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular trade school schools in Michigan. Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the fairly large public school handed out 280 undergraduate certificate awards in 2021-2022.
Students from Michigan who attend Grand Rapids Community College full time pay an average of $7,929 in tuition and fees. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $11,679. Glen Oaks Community College ranked #6 on this year’s Most Popular Online Undergraduate Certificate Trade Schools in Michigan list. Located in Centreville, Michigan, the small public school awarded 28 diplomas to qualifed undergraduate certificate students in 2021-2022.
In-state students pay an average of $5,640 in tuition and fees if they attend GOCC full time. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $6,504. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $9,008 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 61% were women.
Around 55% of the undergraduate population registered for at least one online class in 2020-2021.
