To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our analysis found University of Phoenix - Arizona to be the most popular school for trade school students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the Southwest Region . UOPX - Arizona is a large private for-profit school situated in Phoenix, Arizona. It awarded 11,763 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
On average, bachelor’s degree students take out $37,858 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 68% of those degree recipients were women.
Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 100% took at least some of their classes online.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Grand Canyon University is a great place for trade school students working on their bachelor’s degree. This large private for-profit school is located in Phoenix, Arizona, and it awarded 14,092 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.

Out of the 39 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, American InterContinental University - Online landed the # 5 spot on the list. This fairly large private for-profit school is located in Chandler, Arizona, and it awarded 1,866 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $12,422 to cover tuition and fees at AIU Online. The school does not offer an in-state discount. Bachelor’s Degree recipients from AIU Online accumulate an average of $37,515 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 42% of those degree recipients were women.
Since AIU Online is primarily an online school, it is an excellent choice for undergraduate students who need more flexibility than what is offered at some other schools.

Sam Houston State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for trade school students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. SHSU is a large public school situated in Huntsville, Texas. It awarded 4,237 bachelor’s degrees in 2021-2022.
