Our ranking of value is based on the quality of a program as defined in our per sticker price dollar. Specifically, our score for quality is discounted by the published tuition and fees charged by the given college. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The more quality your dollar buys, the better the value.

In our regional and nationwide rankings, out-of-state tution and fees are used in our calculations. For statewide rankings, we use average in-state tuition and fees.

Our 2023 rankings named Salt Lake Community College the best value school in Utah for trade school students working on their associate degree. Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, the large public school handed out 3,261 associate degree awards in 2021-2022.

The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state undergraduate students at Salt Lake Community College are $13,701 a year. By the time they get their associate degree, students from this school have racked up an average of $10,066 in student loans.

Salt Lake Community College does offer online classes for certain degree levels. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2020-2021 academic year, around 47% took at least some of their classes online.
