This report analyzed 20 schools in the Great Lakes Region to see which ones were the most popular bachelor's degree programs for trade school students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Air Transportation program at each school on the list.

The following schools top our list of the Most Popular Air Transportation Bachelor's Degree Colleges.

Our 2023 rankings named Western Michigan University the most popular school in the Great Lakes Region for air transportation students working on their bachelor’s degree. WMU is a large public school located in the city of Kalamazoo.

Of the 214 students majoring in air transport at WMU, 91% are male and 9% are female.

The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $680, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

Out of the 20 schools in the Great Lakes Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Southern Illinois University Carbondale landed the # 2 spot on the list. SIUC is a fairly large public school located in the city of Carbondale.

About 16% of the students majoring in air transport at the school are women while 84% are male.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, air transport majors at SIUC accumulate an average of around $19,209 in student debt. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $454, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at Purdue University - Main Campus helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular air transportation schools in the Great Lakes Region . Located in the small city of West Lafayette, Purdue is a public school with a very large student population.

Of the 115 students majoring in air transport at Purdue, 77% are male and 23% are female.
