Our 2023 rankings named Northwestern Michigan College the most popular school in the Great Lakes Region for air transportation students working on their associate degree. NMC is a small public school located in the remote town of Traverse City.

Of the 19 students majoring in air transport at NMC, 84% are male and 16% are female.

Air Transport majors at NMC take out an average of $15,442 in student loans while working on their Associate Degree.

The in-demand associate degree programs at Southern Illinois University Carbondale helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular air transportation schools in the Great Lakes Region . SIUC is a large public school located in the city of Carbondale.

Women make up 21% of the air transport majors at the school.

This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $787, based on a 10-year repayment plan.

Located in the medium-sized city of Dayton, Sinclair Community College is a public college with a fairly large student population.
