To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Engineering Technologies program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for engineering tech majors pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Our 2023 rankings named Texas A&M University - College Station the most popular school in the Southwest Region for engineering technologies students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the medium-sized city of College Station, Texas A&M College Station is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 10% of the students majoring in engineering tech at the school are women while 90% are male.

Houston, TX

Out of the 46 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Houston landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Houston, UH is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 15% of the engineering tech majors at the school.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Oklahoma State University - Main Campus. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Engineering Technologies Bachelor’s Degree Trade Schools in the Southwest Region list. OSU is a very large public school located in the town of Stillwater.

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at Texas State University helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular engineering technologies schools in the Southwest Region . Located in the city of San Marcos, Texas State is a public school with a very large student population.

Of the 182 students majoring in engineering tech at Texas State, 89% are male and 11% are female.

Tarleton State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for engineering technologies students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. Tarleton is a fairly large public school located in the town of Stephenville.
